Shimla, September 12, 2015: Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh while speaking on the occasion of a programme organised by ‘Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Bhakt Sangathan’ at historic gaiety theatre, here today said that this was an opportunity to have darshan and seek blessings of Sai Baba present in Himachal. He said that Shridi Sai Baba was an apostle of God. He said that today Baba has crores of devotees all over the world and the staunch faith of people in Shridi Sai Baba speaks volume about the charisma of Sai Baba. Therefore those blessed with 'Sai Bhakti' should make the prime endeavour to spread Sai Bhakti and Sai Devotion amongst others, he said.
The Chief Minister said that there are few Saints who have suffered so much for the sake of their Bhaktas as our Sai Nath. Sai's sacrifices for his Devotees are supreme. He is the abode of mercy. He said the seat of Shridi Sai Baba, which is run by a trust, had created many learning institutions and contributed a lot in development of Shridi.
He exhorted the devotees to spread the teachings of Sai Baba in every part of the country. Shri Virbhadra Singh said that blessed were those who were bestowed with Sai's grace to achieve 'Sai Bhakti' in this life. It is the grace of Shridi Sai Baba that creates wonders in the mind and hearts of the devotees who are guided towards higher spiritual levels to enjoy ever lasting peace.
Baba taught us to stay united and people from all religions come to pay obeisance and seek blessings of Sai Baba.
He said that Sai was an epitome of all human spiritual knowledge. By his unnatural ‘Leelas’ even after his death till date reveal that the natural truth underlying in his creation which is the Birth, growth, death or annihilation are governed by spiritual law.
A heart throbbing one act play was also performed on the occasion which mesmerized the audience.
Secretary, Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Devotees Organization, Satish Beri, welcomed and honoured the Chief Minister and thanked him for sparing his time for the function and blessing the occasion. He thanked the Chief Minister for his initiative for starting a special train from Kalka to Shridi while he was a Union Minister, which facilitates large number of devotees to pay obeisance at Shridi. Sh. Beri also detailed about the social service activities being undertaken by the organization.
Former Member of Parliament, Pratibha Singh, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Deputy Commissioner, Shimla Dinesh Malhotra, were also present on the occasion.
