Team from Delhi presented Solo drama `The Tragedy of Pal Gomra’ on 11th evening
With the rise of English, a Hindi poet got ignored and frustrated
Bathinda, October 11, 2021: On the 11th evening of the 15-day 10th National Theater Festival being organized by Natyam Bathinda, a solo drama 'The Tragedy of Pal Gomra' was presented under the direction of Prateek Singh. Based on a story written by Uday Prakash, the team of The Horizon Theatre, Delhi, staged this play in which artist Vijay single-handedly amazed the audience with his stupendous performance. The play presented the effects of the economic revolution and globalization that happened in the ‘90s. In which a middle-aged, Hindi poet from middle-class families, got ignored with rising of English, leading this to the frustration he wishes to have a change but feels unable to do so.
On the 11th evening of the Natyam Festival, Arun Wadhawan, President of Bathinda Urban Congress, Principal Satwinder Kaur Sidhu, Harpal Singh Bhullar, SE Municipal Corporation, and Advocate Mohit Bansal inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Arun Wadhawan congratulated Kirti Kripal and Natyam team for the upcoming auditorium and for organizing this festival.
