Pune, October 29, 2018: Team Karnataka won the 15th Giant Starkenn MTB National Championship, 2018. In a close battle between Maharashtra and Karnataka team, team Karnataka emerges victorious. Team Karnataka won 20 medals (7 gold, 9 silver and 4 bronze). Runner up Maharashtra Team won 12 medals (4 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze).

15th Giant Starkenn MTB National Championship was held in Pune between 26-28 October at Sunny’s World. Yesterday evening Prize distribution ceremony was attended by Mr.Onkar Singh, Secretary General-Cycling Federation of India, Mr. Pravin Patil-MD & CEO-Starkenn Sports, Mr. Pratap Jadhav- Treasurer Cycling Federation of India and the coordinator of MTB National Championship, Mr. VInayak Nimhan from Sunny’s World and Mr. Rahul Karad, Executive Director-MIT World Peace University.

While addressing the prize distribution ceremony Onkar Singh-Secretory General- Cycling federation of India said, “This year’s MTB National Championship got excellent response and increase in the number of participants as compare to last years. This year’s track was also more challenging and at par with global tournament tracks. I would like to thank Mr. Pravin Patil from Starkenn Sports for the continuous support to MTB National Championships. I would also like to thank Shri Vinayak Nimhan for making this excellent venue available to us. I am confident that with year on year increase in the participants this tournament will reach new heights in the coming years.”

Mr. Pravin V Patil-MD & CEO-Starkenn Sports Said, “We are happy to see the success of this year’s MTB nationals. This year we got the record break response from participants with more than 600 entries from across 23 teams. This year we had made the cycling track even challenging and adventurous as compared to the last year. I am thankful to Mr. Vinayak Nimhan and Sunny Nimhan for giving us excellent venue like Sunny’s World for our championship. We aim to continue our association with MTB nationals and very soon plan to host Asian level MTB eventin India. I would like to thank all our partners and congratulate all the winners for their tremendous achievements.”
