Team NSS of Lyallpur Khalsa College climbed top of mountain spot Triund
NSS under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports organized a 10 days NSS adventure Camp from at Dharamshala.
Jalandhar, October 1, 2022: NSS under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports organized a 10 days NSS adventure Camp from at Dharamshala. Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra welcomed the NSS team after reaching college and said that Lyallpur Khalsa College keeps no stone unturned for the overall development of its students. Lyallpur Khalsa College is setting new trends in almost every field. He added that achievements of NSS Units of college in last one year are exemplary.
Prof Satpal Singh led Punjab contingent consisting 20 students from different colleges and universities of Punjab. Two volunteers of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar Nitin Walia and Karandeep Singh and 40 volunteers from Punjab and Rajasthan in total were in this troupe. He added that team Punjab reached the top of Triund Mountain spot first which is at the height of 2875 meter which is approximately one third of Mount Everest. This adventure camp had the challenges like steep climbing, rock climbing, rappelling, river crossing, navigation through thick forest, heavy rain, insects, thorny bushes and harsh winds which really tested the agility, stamina and will power of participants.
