Team Zindagi Live Foundation commemorates India’s 64th Republic Day by organising its 11th blood donation camp at Pindi Dyal Dharamshala at Ludhiana.

Ludhiana, January 27, 2013: Team Zindagi Live Foundation commemorated India’s 64th Republic Day by organising its 11th blood donation camp at Pindi Dyal Dharamshala here.

A total 560 units of blood were donated in the foundations quest for fighting Thalasemmia.

Some very unique facts were 32 young new generation 1st time donors, 35 females donated blood.

Narinder Thakur and Vikram Kumar celebrated their birthdays by donating blood.

Seeing the magnanimous effort of the NGO – some groups like JCI club, also pledged their support to the foundation.

Chiranjiv Khosla from village Lohara set an example by motivating 25 people to donate blood in this camp.

Ruchi Bawa and Poonam Gulati pattern presented a  tricycle to  a needy patient suffering from Haemophilia and pledged their whole hearted support to the foundation.

Swami Anand Attri from Ganga Dham Vridh Ashram, Baba Kulwant Bhalla from Bala Mandir, Lucky Sai were present during the camp to bless blood donors and Thalasemic kids. Swami Anand Attri also donated blood and set an example for the followers.

Secretary of the foundation Vimal Kapoor informed that besides organising camps for collecting blood their team was also regularly providing costs of transfusion, filters and medicines to needy kids suffering from Thalasemia.

So far Zindagi Live Foundation has donated 2,159 units of blood till date. Their ongoing project of Thalasemic children suffering from hepatitis-C was underway. As of today 15 kids were fully cured and have tested negative of Hepatitis -C while the treatment of balance would be completed by April 13 this year. The foundation honored all the donors with certificates and republic day badges along with proper diet. The next camp shall be announced shortly.

The team of doctors from DMC &H was headed by Dr. Manvi Gupta, By Dr. Rupinder from CMC&H and Dr. Attri from Civil Hospital.

Praveen Bansal, President District BJP also graced the camp besides many MCs.
