Tech Utsav 2025 – A Resounding Success at the Inter-College Tech Fest Organised by the Department of Computer Science and Applications, Panjab University Chandigarh

Chandigarh, April 4, 2025: The Department of Computer Science and Applications (DCSA), Panjab University, Chandigarh today hosted Tech Utsav 2k25, an exhilarating inter-college tech festival held under the theme "Bound by Bytes, Freed by Innovation."
Under the leadership of Dr. Anuj Sharma, Chairperson of DCSA, the event brought together students from multiple colleges to demonstrate their technical expertise, creativity, and innovative ideas through various competitions.
Tech Utsav 2025 featured an impressive line-up of events, including coding/debugging challenges, website development, typing, logo making, on-the-spot presentations making, advertisement creation, quizzes, and poster-making contests. These events allowed participants to demonstrate their expertise and solve real-world technical problems in a competitive and collaborative environment. A total of 106 participants from 11 colleges in and around tri-city participated in these events. Dr. Anuj Sharma, Chairperson of the DCSA, welcomed the students with great enthusiasm and motivation during the inaugural session. He expressed his excitement for the event, highlighting the importance of such gatherings in fostering creativity, innovation, and collaboration among the next generation of tech leaders.
The event was meticulously coordinated by faculty coordinators Dr. Jasleen Kaur Bains and Dr. Balwinder Kaur, who ensured the planning and smooth execution of the Tech Fest. The valedictory function was presided by Chief Guest of the event Mr. Chavi Jindal, founder of the software company Innow8 apps and guest of honour was Mr. Deep Bansal, technical lead at Innow8 Apps. They both are alumni of DCSA, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The event concluded with the prize distribution to the winners of various events.
