TECHNOLOGY changing very swiftly in printing industry


The seminar being organised on CtM (Computer to Machine) technology at Ludhiana.

Ludhiana, May 11, 2013: Technology is changing very swiftly in printing industry, was said by Kamal Chopra during the seminar organised on CtM (Computer to Machine) technology here.

This seminar was the part of soft interventions going on for printing and packaging cluster, Ludhiana.

Ambrish Pandey, Lecturar, Guru Jhambheshwar University, Hisar was specially called on this seminar to give his presentation on this latest technology and changes it can bring about to the printing industry.

Sukhminder Singh Rekhi, Senior Industrial Promotion Officer, DIC, Ludhiana, Kamal Chopra, Gen. Secretary were the key hosts for this seminar.

Kamal Chopra, General Secretary, Offset Printers’ Association welcomed the member and printers on this occasion and then he announced the minutes from the previous seminar and house approved them. Chopra also provided a small presentation on evolution of printing and how it developed over many centuries B.C.

Ambrish Pandey during his address provided information on the changes in technologies being currently being used by printers in India and how the technology can bring change to the style of working. He gave a presentation on working and functionality of Dry Offset which was found quite interesting and useful by all the members present there. He also provided details on technologies being used by the industries currently like digital printing machines and coming in future like pile printing and other technologies which are still in development phase.

Ambrish Pandey also welcomed the queries of members.

Seminar recorded healthy gathering with many members of OPA alongwith other printers.

Sanjay Gandhi (vice president, OPA), Parvesh Jagga, Sukesh Bhardwaj, Hansraj Chopra, Manish Jain, Amanjot Arora, Ramit Saxena and Bhupinder Singh were also present during the seminar.
