Jalandhar, August 8, 2015: Punjabi Deptt of PCM S.D.College for Women, Jalandhar celebrated Teej festival in collaboration with Punjab News Channel, Jalandhar. Teej festival is celebrated in the month of Saavan. Prof Devinder Johal welcomed the Chief Guest. Many stalls were organised of eatables and cosmetics etc. Students came in colourful traditional dresses. Principal Dr. Kiran Arora congratulated students and told them to always respect our cultural values and traditions. Folk Song competition was organised and performed Gidha. Mrs. Surinder Narula thanked the guest Students were given certificates and trophies by the Punjab News Channel. Dr. Harkamal of Punjabi Deptt and students of BCA III Loveleen Kaur and Jaismeen Kaur conducted stage. Dr. Surinder kaur saini and Prof. Sukhvir of Pbi. Deptt also contributed in the organisation of festival.
