Television's hottest new pair Aastha Abhay and Ankit Raizada talk about their new show Meri Doli Mere Angana

Aastha is from Ranchi, Jharkhand and she was Miss India Earth 2016 Finalist & some of her best work includes Kasauti Zindagi Ki II, Vani Rani, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Kaun hai? Shrimad Bhagwat, Saraswati and Laal Ishq.
Ankit belongs to Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh and some of his best work after his debut in Jodha Akbar are Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jao, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Ye Vada Raha and in the web series Khushfehmiyaan.
The title of the show is very interesting Meri Doli Mere Angana. What do you have to say about this unique name?
Aastha: I urge the viewers to see the show to understand why it has such a unique name. It is the story of Janki and how her doli reaches her own doorstep.
Ankit: I am a crook and conman in the show.  I will also be stealing hearts and hope to steal yours too.
 How do Bitoo and Janki meet and what is their chemistry on the show?
Ankit: Janki is a very rich girl in the show and I am going to con her for her family’s money. Bitoo knows nothing about love, his only love is for money.
Aastha: Janki is a very loveable character and everyone will fall in love with her.
Will you tell us more about your characters and how you prepared for the same?
Ankit: So far, all the characters that I have portrayed they have been very different from Bitoo. For Bitto, I had to learn the dialect to get the right way of speaking. I'm from a small town so I'm familiar with the mannerisms of a small-town person and know their perceptions and attitude. What I had to learn was the speech. I do have friends from Kanpur etc. from whom I picked up some words. I even looked at shows on the OTT to learn how to speak like Bitoo.  The director and writer of the show really helped me in this. And I learnt a lot from Janki too. When Aastha is portraying Janki, I sometimes wonder can there be anyone as sweet and simple as Janki.
Aastha: When I was narrated the character, I realized it was completely the opposite of me as a person as I have grown up as a bold and upfront girl. Janki is a quiet, patient and very cultured girl. Her parents love her and her entire world is the four walls of her house. I quite loved the character and look at it like Amrita Roa from Vivaah. And I hope the viewers really take to her and like her. Yes, it’s tough to get someone like Janki in today’s times.
How much fun do you have off screen?
Ankit: We have a lot of fun off screen. Aastha keeps teasing me by getting mithai and not sharing it with me. We all help and support each other, even with our characters and their portrayal. In case we have any doubts over anything, they are always there to clear them.
 Aastha: You have to hide sweets from Ankit, since he takes them and runs away with them. At the set, we all share a very good bond. Our directors and producers are so nice it is tough to find people like them. They are like family. I share my problems with my producers, I feel I am talking to my parents. The production and technical team are also very helpful and cooperative.
