Jalandhar, November 27, 2024: A ten-day camp came to an end at DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology College under the aegis of 2 Punjab NCC Battalion. 

350 NCC cadets learnt military training, personality development and leadership mantras. The cadets participated in many competitions and sharpened their skills. Group Commander Brigadier Ajay Tiwari, Sena Medal, also inspected the camp. He told the cadets about time management, self-reliant and how to live in a camp with team spirit. Camp Commander Colonel Vinod Joshi said that during the camp, they were taught to wake up at early, do their daily chores, run and exercise at six in the morning. The cadets' food interests were taken into account and they were served with tasty Indian food. 
 
Colonel Joshi said that the cadets were explained the history and importance of drill in the army. The cadets were taught discipline and methods of firing with weapons. In his closing speech, Colonel Joshi inspired the future generation to follow the path of honesty, loyalty and patriotism in life. The Camp Commandant said that in the camp, lectures and demos were held on the subjects like opening and assembling weapons, drill, etc. Guest lectures by many central and state government officials were also arranged. In the closing address, Colonel Joshi told the cadets that change is a part of life. Move forward on the right path with dedication and your discretion. Take the society and family forward by being optimistic in life. He appealed to the cadets to work on Skill India and Make in India in the coming years and contribute in nation building.  In the camp, army instructors and NCC associate officers have made a special contribution. DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology College has provided all administrative facilities free of cost in the camp. He expressed his gratitude and thanks to Principal Dr. Sudhir Sharma and Lieutenant Jaswinder Singh Dhillon on behalf of the Indian Army.
