Tewari urges PM to clear projects related to Guru Teg Bahadur's 400 birth anniversary
Says the Ninth Guru had sacrificed his life to save the Kashmiri Hindus from the persecution of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb
Chandigarh: Shri Anandpur Sahib MP Manish Tewari has urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to clear the projects worth Rs 937 crores in connection with the celebrations of 400th birth anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur.
He said, the Ninth Guru had sacrificed his life to save the Kashmiri Hindus from the persecution of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.
Tewari said, his sacrifice epitomises the essence of Punjabiyat, the composite culture of Hindu Sikh unity in Punjab.
He said, Shri Anandpur Sahib has a historic association with Guru Teg Bahadur. He said, since he represented this constituency in parliament, it was his added responsibility to ensure that the projects proposed by the Punjab government are implemented and executed.
