TEXT BOOK ON RESPIRATORY MEDICINE RELEASED

Ludhiana, June 16, 2017: In a simple ceremony today Dr L S Chawla, former Vice Chancellor Baba Farid University of Health Sciences released a text book on respiratory medicine written by Dr R S Bhatia a practicing Physicians at Model Town Ludhiana. Speaking on the occasion Dr Chawla said that it is a big achievement for a doctor not attached to the medical college to write such a comprehensive book. Dr R S Bhatia told that chest medicine has evolved very fast in the recent years. With more and more diagnostic facilities coming up we have been able to understand the patho-physiology of chest diseases in more depth and thus offer better treatment to the patients. This text book has been written for the medical students and those practicing chest medicine he further said. Language is simple, text is updated and presentation offers easy flow to understand the subject. Topics covered are comprehensively described and include infection, allergy, malignancy, connective tissue disorders, immunological pulmonary disorders etc. Current topics such as lung transplants, drug induced respiratory disorders and stem cell therapy have been fully supported by Indian references offering a feast to all those who care for patients with respiratory diseases. Present on the occasion Dr Arun Mitra, former President IMA Ludhiana recalled the student days since when Dr Bhatia has been a promising hardworking person who practiced scientifically and ethically.
