Chandigarh, October 22, 2024: Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan condemned the BJP government for its poor governance and its betrayal of farmers, laborers, and arhtiyas in Punjab. He expressed deep concern over the government's political tactics, which he believes target the hardworking Punjabis who bravely protested against the three controversial farm laws.
Sandhwan said that these laws were aimed at allowing corporate control over agriculture, which would severely impact the livelihoods of farmers. In response to the widespread protests, the central government had to repeal the laws and now BJP is resorting to underhanded tactics to take revenge on those who stood against these unjust laws.
“The farmers of Punjab, along with laborers and traders, united to oppose these black laws. The BJP’s dirty politics will not succeed here,” Sandhwan stated. He said that the central government is now forcing farmers to roll their crops into the markets while claiming a lack of storage space. He reminded everyone that this is not a new tactic; similar actions have been taken by the central government in the past.
Sandhwan reassured the public that the Punjab government stands firmly with farmers, laborers, arhtiyas and transporters. “We will not leave any stone unturned in supporting them. Arvind Kejriwal is dedicated to working alongside us to ensure justice for our farmers,” he affirmed.
He called on all Punjabis to remain united against the BJP's divisive politics and reaffirmed AAP's commitment to protecting the rights and interests of the farming community.
