The Last Training Camp of Jalandhar NCC Group begins
The last camp of NCC Group Jalandhar has kicked off at DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology College under the aegis of 2 Punjab NCC Battalion. 350 cadets are participating in the 10-day camp. Camp Commandant Colonel Vinod Joshi said in a press release that cadets of 21 Punjab NCC Battalion Kapurthala, 12 Punjab NCC Battalion Hoshiarpur, 8 Punjab NCC Battalion Phagwara, 2 Girls NCC Battalion Jalandhar and 2 Punjab NCC Battalion are participating in the NCC camp.
Jalandhar, November 19, 2024: The last camp of NCC Group Jalandhar has kicked off at DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology College under the aegis of 2 Punjab NCC Battalion. 350 cadets are participating in the 10-day camp. Camp Commandant Colonel Vinod Joshi said in a press release that cadets of 21 Punjab NCC Battalion Kapurthala, 12 Punjab NCC Battalion Hoshiarpur, 8 Punjab NCC Battalion Phagwara, 2 Girls NCC Battalion Jalandhar and 2 Punjab NCC Battalion are participating in the NCC camp.
On the first day of the camp, the camp began with documentation verification, biometrics, division of cadets into companies, opening speech of the camp by the Camp Commander and roll call.
The Camp Commander informed that as per the NCC syllabus, the cadets will be given intensive study in 36 subjects. Special emphasis will be given on weapon training, weapon drill, opening and closing of weapons. The training routine of the cadets will start from 04:30 in the morning and will continue till 8 pm every day. The cadets are being trained to adopt the routine of a soldier in their lives. To teach personality development and leadership qualities, the cadets have been given many positions in the camp so that they can understand the responsibilities and become a good citizen with an optimistic attitude. Colonel Joshi informed that guest lectures will be arranged in which many departments of the central and state government are participating. For overall personality development of cadets, sports competitions, debates and lecture competitions will be organized. Five associate NCC officers and army instructors of many battalions have been deployed in the ten-day camp.
