The one Day Capacity Building Programme in DRV DAV Centenary Public School
The one-day capacity building programme for Kindergarten teachers from Nursery to 2nd grade was organized on Saturday in DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur by the Regional Training Centre, Jalandhar Zone, under the supervision of DAV CAE. The training was designed to align with the new proposed educational shift from the 10+2 system to the 5+3+3+5 structure, placing a renewed emphasis on early childhood education.
Jalandhar, October 22, 2023: The one-day capacity building programme for Kindergarten teachers from Nursery to 2nd grade was organized on Saturday in DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur by the Regional Training Centre, Jalandhar Zone, under the supervision of DAV CAE. The training was designed to align with the new proposed educational shift from the 10+2 system to the 5+3+3+5 structure, placing a renewed emphasis on early childhood education.
The initiative was a product of the visionary thinking of ARO Dr. Rashmi Vij, who consistently champions innovative approaches to uplift teachers in their profession. Her distinctive vision set the tone for the training program, aiming to equip educators for the changing educational landscape.
Dr. Yogesh Gambhir, the school Principal commenced the workshop with his session ' Fostering Calm in Chaos' where he enlightened the teachers on how to effectively manage hyperactive and special needs children in the classroom. His insights were invaluable in addressing the unique challenges in the kindergarten environment.
The training program featured expert resource persons from various DAV schools who are trained Master Trainers .
Kiran Sandhu from Police DAV and Mrs. Aanchal from DRV DAV Centenary Public School Phillaur were the resource persons for Nursery to UKG teachers.
Niza and Mrs. Silky Kaur from Police DAV Jal took charge as resource persons for 1st and 2nd-grade teachers.
Babita Singh from Police DAV also served as a resource person for Hindi instruction.
The training culminated with an engaging storytelling session, the main highlight of the day. Each participant was given the opportunity to enact value-based stories, demonstrating the importance of storytelling in early childhood education.
All the teachers participated in the workshop with great enthusiasm and found the activities exceptional and interesting.
The training has equipped teachers to navigate the evolving educational landscape and cater to the needs of young learners effectively. This initiative demonstrates the commitment of the DAV CAE to uplift and empower educators for the betterment of students' educational experiences.
