The Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) Lab, which is a part of the Skill Labs being established in several Departments of PU under the RUSA Scheme, was officially opened by Prof. Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, July 6, 2023: The Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) Lab, which is a part of the Skill Labs being established in several Departments of PU under the RUSA Scheme, was officially opened by Prof. Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The RUSA facility, designed for the exposure of state-of-the-art high end infrastructure in Paleontological, groundwater, petrological and engineering equipment’s and software, was explained by Prof. Ashu Khosla, Chairperson, and research scholars of the Department of Geology. Additionally, the department showed posters that discussed the practical applications of geology. The Department's research scholars and UG/PG students will benefit from the development of their skills and exposure as a result.
The Vice Chancellor acknowledged the Department's efforts and emphasized the need of giving students this kind of exposure so they may learn creative thinking techniques for successful start-ups. Along with other senior administrators and faculty members from the university, Prof. Harsh Nayyar, Director of the Research & Development Cell, Prof. Rajeev Puri, University RUSA Coordinator, and others attended the event.
