The Thunderbolt Cycling Expedition’ which was flagged off on 20th September 2023 under the aegis of Vajra Corps to promulgate a fitness culture amongst youth, promotes save environment from pollution and motivate them to join the Indian Army.

Jalandhar, September 21, 2023: The Thunderbolt Cycling Expedition’ which was flagged off on 20th September 2023 under the aegis of Vajra Corps to promulgate a fitness culture amongst youth, promotes save environment from pollution and motivate them to join the Indian Army. The team of ten members led by an officer will be negotiating around 700 kilometer of challenging and treacherous roads of Himachal and Punjab. During the onward journey the team will cycle their around way from Khasa, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Jwalamukhi, Sujanpur Tira and Dharamshala. The return journey back to Khasa will be through equally challenging route via Nurpur, Pathankot, Mukerian, Tibri and finally culminating at Khasa on 29th September 2023. The team aims to covers the interaction with youth at maximum places and also display physical fitness which can be done through cycling, thus providing an alternative use of cycles rather than polluting motor vehicles in order to save the environment.
