Chandigarh: Thermax, a leading provider of energy and environment solutions, launched the Thermax Roadshow – REDISCOVER in Chandigarh recently, marking a first-of-its-kind knowledge event that will traverse seven cities in India. Aligned to its commitment as a ‘Trusted Partner in Energy Transition’, this event aims to provide stakeholders with firsthand experience of Thermax's latest innovations and green solutions.
During the exposition, Thermax showcased advanced technologies pivotal to making energy transition a reality. These included multi-fuel and biomass-based energy solutions, hybrid renewables, bio-CNG, electrical/hybrid heating & cooling solutions, green hydrogen, and energy-saving water solutions, along with digital and value-added services.
At the conference, key stakeholders from prominent industries like textile, F&B, and pharma actively engaged in discussions around Thermax's new-age solutions. The focus was on these solutions adeptly tackling unique energy and environmental challenges within these sectors, enabling a seamless transition towards sustainability.
A highlight of the conference was Thermax’s foray into bioenergy and aligned EPC capabilities, showcased through a captivating audio-visual. The first two compressed biogas (CBG) plants recently established in Dhuri and Patran will utilise around 36,000 tonnes of rice straw annually to produce biogas. Additionally, these plants generate nutrient-rich manure as an eco-friendly byproduct for agricultural use. Located strategically in Punjab and Haryana, regions grappling with challenges like stubble burning and landfills, these plants exemplify Thermax's commitment to sustainable solutions. The biogas generated will find applications in both captive and commercial use, marking a significant stride in Thermax's broader initiative to introduce solutions around biochemicals and bioenergy.
Sharing his thoughts on Thermax Roadshow - REDISCOVER, MD and CEO Ashish Bhandari said, "Thermax has played and will continue to play an important role in India's energy sector. With the evolving landscape, we are committed to continuous innovation and introducing new energy solutions to address the gap between energy availability and sustainability. Through the REDISCOVER platform, we aim to showcase some of the latest energy transition capabilities and reassure stakeholders that it is possible to pursue sustainability and growth simultaneously. Our compressed biogas (CBG) plants in Punjab and Haryana stand as a testament to this sustainable model.”
