Third edition of Banking and Finance Conclave 2022 concludes at CGC Landran
The 3rd edition of the Banking and Finance Conclave 2022 was organised by Chandigarh Business School of Administration, CGC Landran.
Chandigarh, April 21, 2022: The 3rd edition of the Banking and Finance Conclave 2022 was organised by Chandigarh Business School of Administration, CGC Landran. ‘Digital Financial Literacy and Inclusion towards Prosperity’, was the theme of this year’s conclave. The two-day event saw distinguished guests from Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Punjab National Bank, HDFC, IndusInd Bank, RBL bank, IDFC First Bank, Innovative Financial Management Pvt. Ltd., and White Rock Wealth interacting with students from MBA, BBA, BCA and B.Com, enlightening them about the importance of digital financial literacy and its role in promoting financial well being & prosperity.
Key note speakers of day-one of the conclave included Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav, General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh, Mr Iqbal Singh, Founder and Managing Director, Innovative Financial Management Pvt. Ltd., Mr Dinesh Seth, Senior Vice President & Zonal Head, HDFC Chandigarh. The speakers encouraged students to learn about and adopt financial planning as well as become ambassadors of spreading awareness about these concepts among their families and peer groups. They were also introduced to various initiatives being undertaken by the banking industry, the RBI and the Government of India to promote financial literacy aimed at financial inclusion. Among other activities students showcased a theatrical presentation on the theme of the conclave, student presentations, online quiz and group discussions.
Day two of the conclave comprised a panel discussion on ‘Improving financial empowerment among young people’. The eminent speaker panel comprised seasoned professionals from the banking and finance management sectors.
The event concluded with the felicitation ceremony of the winners of the online quiz competition, presentations and group discussions. Anmol Gupta was declared the winner of the online quiz competition followed by Srishty and Priyanka who bagged the 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Online trading and portfolio management competition titled ‘The great CBSA trader’ saw Ritish Kumar, Nomesh and Priyanshu winning the first, second, and third prizes, respectively. Amrit Sharma won the first prize in group discussion with Gagandeep Kaur and Jashan Joshi bagging the 2nd and 3rd spots, respectively. The case study based presentation competition was won by Mehak Maini, with Diksha Dhalod bagging the 2nd prize and Aryan Sharma wining the 3rd prize.
