Chandigarh, February 3, 2025: The Department of History, Panjab University in collaboration with Punjabi Sahit Academy, Ludhiana hosted a thought-provoking book discussion on Jasbir Mand's seminal novel, "Churasi Lakh Yaadan", published by Autumn Art. 

Mand's novel masterfully captures Punjab's soul, exploring deeper layers that spark conflict, without perpetuating hatred or taking sides, offering profound insight into the region's violent nature. 

Dr. Jasbir Singh, chairperson, Department of History formally welcome the guests and audience.  Two research scholars presented on the theme of the novel. 

Dr. Sona Singh saw this literature through historical approach and Dr. Satveer Singh saw this with the approach of literature. 

Dr. Sarbjeet Singh added his remarks on the novel. 

Dr. Gurmukh Singh, Punjabi University, Patiala chaired the session. 

Prof. Priyatosh Sharma offered the vote of thanks.
