Three held with 700 bottles of illicit liquor including two women

Ferozepur, August 3, 2014: The Feozepur Police achieved a huge success today in its crusade against the eradication of drug menace while it recovered 700 bottles of illegal home-made liquor from Village Khai Feme Ki near Ferozepur.

Gurpreet Singh Toor, SSP, Ferozepur said that police officials had received inputs that few members of a family at Village Khai Feme ki, were allegedly involved in illegal liquor brewing. Following the inputs the police raided at the house and nabbed Charanjit Kaur wife of Anoop Singh, Harbans Kaur wife of Major Singh, both residents of Village Khai Feme Ki and Mohinder Singh son of Manda Singh, resident of Village Dulle Wala with 700 bottles of illegal home-made liquor. Two other members of the family who were allegedly involved in this liquor brewing named Anoop Singh and Manga, both brothers, managed to flee from the spot.

It had come to the notice of police that both Anoop Singh and Manga were the chief architects of liquor brewing business in the family. They had prepared a furnace for making illicit liquor.

The police have registered a case and have launched a hunt to nab both the flee offenders.
