New Delhi/Jalandhar, July 11, 2013: The Special Judge for CBI Cases, Bangalore has convicted  B. Tulasiraman, then Chief Manager, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.(HAL), Aircraft Division, Bangalore and sentenced him to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine Rs.1,00,000 in disproportionate assets case.

The sources said that the CBI had filed a charge sheet after completion of investigation against   B. Tulasiraman, then Chief Manager, HAL, Aircraft Division, Bangalore, and others U/s. 13(2) r/w 13(1) (e) of PC Act, 1988.

The allegations as per the charge sheet were that  B. Tulasiraman had acquired assets worth about Rs.18.89 lakh in his name and in the names of his family members, which were disproportionate to his known sources of income. The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
