Laughter can strengthen your immune system and reduce your risk of heart disease. It’s not just good for our bodies—it can also strengthen our bond with other people, make work-life interesting and increase our sense of self-worth. To trigger your laughter hormones and deepen your laugh lines, Zee TV brings to you a rib ticking comedy series! After setting a benchmark with some super successful comedy shows like ‘Filmi Chakkar’, ‘Gubbare’, ‘Hum Paanch’ and ‘Ghar Jamai’ in the past, Zee TV once again is coming up with a sitcom which is as unique as its name. Titled ‘Bh Se Bhade’, the show is about a common man, Mr. Bhade who is blessed with an awesome super power. Produced by JD Majethia’s Hats Off Productions, this 52-episode series will premiere on 26th October, every Saturday – Sunday at 8pm only on Zee TV.
Problems, complications, dilemmas are the words that best describe a life of a common man today. Imagine, if you had someone around who could take away your worries for a while and gave you time to sort out your life??!! Mr. Bhade is blessed with a unique ability – that of taking away the problems of others for a brief period. While he is a boon for those in stress around him, the situation usually turns into a bane for his wife and his family. The result of all the difficulties that Bhade faces is a comedy of errors that is sure to leave the viewers tickled pink. The show features some of the most enviable humorists from the world of television and theatre. Breathing life into the character of Mr. Bhade is versatile actor, Deven Bhojani. His wife’s character is been played by the charming and talented, Sucheta Trivedi. Bhade’s mother-in-law’s character will be essayed by the graceful and renowned actor, Sarita Joshi, and his boss’s character will be essayed by the popular and talented Atul Parchure.
Said Ajay Bhalwankar, Content Head, Hindi GECs ZEEL, at the launch of the show, “After a long time, Zee TV has commissioned a concept which has a hilarious narrative and uses comedy to communicate a social message. Every Saturday and Sunday, viewers will see Bhade tackle a new socially relevant problem and the methods he uses to sail through it. The ultimate aim is to encourage the audiences to laugh their way to self-reflection and self –realization and that is what constitutes the key USP of this show. Zee has had a longstanding association with JD and we know that he is a maverick when it comes to comedy. He has managed to get all the stalwarts of comedy under one roof and we’re confident that the show will be loved by all age groups from 6 to 60.”
On the concept of the show, producer JD Majethia revealed that Bhade, in a way, is a true philanthropist as he takes people’s problems on himself without even thinking twice. It’s this quality of his that makes him adorable! He adds, “The show highlights in a comical way the selflessness of this kind-hearted man who lives for others in a time and age when everyone is busy living only for themselves.  Bhade, as he is fondly called, is 55 years old and does not only listen to your problem but also takes it upon himself. Whatever be the nature of the problem – self-esteem issues, bad habits, or physical troubles – he takes it on himself out of his sheer noble disposition without pondering much about the consequences or impact it might have on his own life or family! This usually leads to some troublesome, some hilarious situations in his personal life and work space. His good nature, empathy for fellow human beings will relay a positive and healthy message to the audiences without being preachy.”
As far as the marketing initiatives are concerned, the channel has decided to rely heavily on ambient media branding in order to establish the character of Mr. Bhade. The primary targets are places like sabzi mandis, theaters, colleges, transit media and auto rickshaw branding. The sabzi section of Big Bazaar, will have placards with whacky one-liners like ‘we cannot reduce the price hike of Onions, but we will take away your problems’. The adverts in auto rickshaws will have lines like ‘we cannot control the speeding meter but we will take away your stress.’ At bus panels there will be lines like ‘we cannot reduce the increasing bus fares, but we will take away your problems’ and on Pole Kiosks there will be creative’s like ‘we cannot reduce the increasing traffic, but we will take away your problems.’ Apart from this, the show will be marketed largely through Promos on OOH Screens at railway station ticket windows, Café Coffee Day outlets, Mc Donald outlets, colleges, malls, residential areas and buses via outdoor screens.
A man who is kind hearted, sensitive, selfless, lovable and as common as you, with a unique ability to take away your pain, and even more unique family members is sure to soon become a household name. When not tackling other’s problems, Bhade (Deven Bhojani) lives peacefully with his dear wife Sushma (Sucheta Trivedi), his mother-in-law (Sarita Joshi) with whom he’s always at loggerheads, his son Sunil (Varun Khandelwal) and his daughter-in-law Menka (Bhavna Vyas). The family also includes Menka’s brother Chunky (Dushyant Wagh) who always spells trouble for her husband. Sunil and Menka have an over-smart son, Birbal (Vedant Dattani). Bhade works as an Insurance agent in a company where his boss, Bhimsen Ganguly (Atul Parchure) is a foodie and relies on Bhade to bail him out of trouble all the time. Despite the knotty situations that Bhade takes on himself every time, his family supports and loves him unconditionally. Turning your weekends into a laughter riot, ‘Bh se Bhade’ will bring in a new concept for its viewers to live life in full stride.
