Chandigarh, March 6, 2014: WWF and Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling Super-Kid "Tiger" Jeet Singh called on the Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir SIngh Badal here this morning. Tiger discussed with Sukhbir Singh Badal the possibility of the Professional WWWWF Olympics in Punjab. This, he said, would be the first time ever that India could be hosting such a high profile world title meet.
He said that he was totally satisfied and impressed by the response he got from the Punjab Deputy CM for promoting sports, especially professional wrestling. Tiger said that Sukhbir SIngh Badal's drive in employing sports as an effective vehicle in his war on drugs had won him world acclaim.
"I have been " charmed" by the initiative and drive shown by the Punjab Deputy CM in promoting sports, especially
traditional sports like Kabbadi," said  "Tiger", who has the rare feats like defeating the world Sumo Champions in Japan as also stunning victories over some of the most dreaded names in professional circuit. He also said that Punjab had a rich potential for producing world champions in this genre.
Tiger told Sukhbir SIngh Badal that he  had been emboldened by the success of the World Kabbadi Cup to come to Punjab to pursue his dream of India becoming the hub of WWWF variety and  Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling.
In a 45 minute one-to-one with the Deputy CM, "Tiger" said that  the Punjab government had prepared the ground for hosting big-time international professional wrestling meets, especially  WWWF Championships. He said that the work done by Sukhbir SIngh Badal in promoting sports had been appreciated in professional circuits all over the world and as a result,  Punjab now enjoyed a rare credibility in world sports bodies as a possible destination for prestigious sporting events like
the Professional Wrestling Olympics.
