Ludhiana, August 26, 2023: The Department of Student Welfare at CT University organised a vibrant and culturally rich event, 'tiyan Teej Dian', which brought together the essence of traditional festivities and the exuberance of youthful creativity.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students who showcased their creative prowess through a spectrum of activities. The campus was transformed into a lively kaleidoscope of colors and decorations that encapsulated the spirit of Teej. The beautifully adorned stalls featured traditional delicacies, bangles, and theme-based decorations, capturing the true essence of the occasion.
A highlight of the celebration was the cultural extravaganza presented by the students of CT Degree College (Collegiate) and the Cultural Department. Their mesmerizing Giddha performances showcased the rich cultural heritage of Punjab, captivating the audience with every move and beat.
Adding an extra flair to the event was a captivating Fashion Show, where students and faculty members walked the ramp adorned in Punjab's traditional and contemporary fashion. The judging panel, consisting of Dr. Simran Gill, Principal of School of Law, and Dr. Puneeta Sharma, COS, School of Humanities and Physical Education, had the challenging task of selecting winners. From the faculty, Hardeep Kaur emerged as the deserving recipient of the 'Miss Teej' title, while among the students, Harwinder Kaur of BA LLB clinched the prestigious title.
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed personalities, including Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Dean Academics Dr. Avadhesh Gupta, Deputy Director of the Department of Student Welfare Davinder Singh, and Dr. Puneeta Sharma. Nidhi from Livn Saloon had the honor of felicitating the winners.
