TNAI Punjab State Workshop on “Research Methodology”

Ludhiana, March 6, 2013: College of Nursing DMC&Hospital, Ludhiana on behalf of TNAI Punjab State organised a two days workshop on Research Methodology from March 4 to 5.

The workshop was aimed to provide a solid base of fundamental concepts of nursing research so as to equip the beginning nurse researchers as well as the experienced nurses.

On the first day, the workshop was inaugurated by Prem Kumar Gupta, Secretary managing society DMC&H Ludhiana and Chief guest G.K. Walia, Secretary, TNAI, Punjab state branch. Dr. Jasbir Kaur, Principal College of Nursing DMC&Hospital and President TNAI, Punjab State Branch gave introduction about Nursing research and research process. She also introduced the chief guest.

Dr. Daljit Singh, Principal Medical College DMC& Hospital shared his views about research methodology with the delegates. The other topics discussed included research problem, objectives and hypothesis, literature review, research designs, sample and sampling process.

The topics discussed on the second day of workshop included tools and methods of data collection, validity and reliability, processing and analysing data and reference writing styles. Total 150 delegates from 20 different Colleges of Nursing from all over Punjab attended the workshop.
