Ludhiana, September 28, 2022:  To mark the Birth Anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, PCTE Group of Institutes in collaboration with Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Parishad organised a Blood donation camp. The camp was organized in the college premises where a team of certified professionals from leading hospitals of Ludhiana namely Raghunath and Deep Hospital were present to ensure the safety of the donors. The students of Medical Lab Sciences enthusiastically came forward to manage the event and also encouraged other students to support this noble cause.

The students, faculty and Staff participated and donated blood with full fervour. As a result of the voluntary participation from the students, faculty members and staff, 162 units of blood were donated. PCTE has always encouraged the students to devote themselves towards the principle of community service and to be generous; therefore, organizing a blood donation camp was just another step in this direction.

Swapan Chanana, Director, Students’ Welfare, PCTE Group of Institutes said that Blood donation is a noble cause, and it is a very genuine way of adding our bit in the betterment of the society. He appreciated the enthusiasm of students, faculty and staff who participated in this noble cause wholeheartedly. He further added that everyone should donate blood as it replicates human values and social responsibility towards our society. And further said "Blood can't be manufactured as other things can, it can only be given to save the lives"

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General congratulated and applauded the efforts made by the students and faculty for organizing this Blood Donation Camp in a well-planned manner. He also lauded the motivation of students, faculty and staff for their highly enthusiastic contribution in making it a success. He further encouraged that blood donation camps like this should be organized on a regular basis as a part of contribution towards society.
