A total of 434 starred and un-starred questions for HP Assembly Winter Session: Speaker
Dharamshala, December 8, 2019: Addressing a press conference at Tapovan Assembly Secretariat, Dharamshala, Dr.Rajeev Bindal, Speaker of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha said that the seventh session of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly is going to start on December 9, at 2 pm. He said that this winter session of the Legislative Assembly would last till December 14, 2019. He said that 6 meetings have been scheduled for this session. In the session, the day of 12 December has been set for the non-official member working day. Dr. Bindal said that in this session a total of 434 starred and unstarred questions have been received. It has received 270 starred questions from honourable members while information on 128 unstarred questions has also been received. In addition to it, a total of 36 questions postponed, questions were also included .\ Dr. Bindal said that 6 information was received under rule 62, 13 information under rule 130, 5 information under rule 101 and 3 information under rule -324. Members have also highlighted the main issues related to their respective constituencies through questions. There are a lot of questions about roads, drinking water, schools, hospitals and vacancies in offices. Dr Bidal said “Great work is expected in winter session of assembly.” Dr. Rajiv Bindal further added during the press conference in the Assembly premises on Sunday that e – vidhan Sabha has helped in increasing the number of questions. “The e Vidhan Shabha has made the functioning of the Legislative Assembly more fast and perfect. The agenda is immediately reaching the legislators. It is easy to prepare. The MLA's speeches are also being made available to the MLA on their mobiles , on request,” said Dr bindal. He added that there are also questions related to recently held Investor Meet and Rule 118 of land allotment in the state. We hope that the government will completely satisfy the legislators about their queries. The Speaker has appealed to all the MLAs to cooperate while working in the state interest. He said that even if more questions are not dealt with on the floor, all the replies will be laid on the table of the house. Dr. Bindal said that there will be a request from his side and opposition to give their constructive support in the conduct of the session. He said that the House is the best place to raise people's problems and solve them and it should be used by the members to raise issues related to public interest. Assembly Secretary Yashpal Sharma and other officials were present on the occasion.
