TOUR PLAN OF MEDICAL MOBILE UNIT (MMU) RELEASED
Ludhiana, April 9, 2019: For providing best healthcare facilities to people residing in far off places, the Health Department has issued a tour plan for "Medical Mobile Unit" for district Ludhiana. Under this tour plan, the MMU would provide healthcare facilities to people residing in Payal, Sahnewal, Koom Kalan blocks for April, May and June months.
While providing details of the tour programme, Civil Surgeon Ludhiana Dr. Parvinderpal Singh Sidhu informed that the MMU would visit Community Health Centre wise villages and provide healthcare facilities to the residents.
The MMU would visit village Jaipura on April 10, village Bulara on April 11, village Daba on April 12, village Lohara on April 13, village Jamalpur on April 15, village Kakowal on April 16, village Khwajke on April 17, Khasi Kalan on April 18, Bhattian on April 19, Noorwala on April 20, village Shahpur on May 1, Maksoodra on May 2, Payal on May 3, Gobindpura on May 4, Daumajra on May 6, village Dhamot on May 7, Sihora on May 8, Jandiali on May 9, Jargari on May 10, Mundian Kalan on May 11, Daba on May 12, Jamalpur on May 14, Jawaddi on May 15, Lohara on May 16, Khasi Kalan on May 17, Khwajke on May 18, Jassian on May 19, Ghudani Kalan on June 1, Ghaloti on June 3, Lapran on June 4, Bilaspur on June 6, Buani on June 8, Doraha on June 10, Khasi Kalan on June 11, Khwajke on June 12, Noorwala on June 13, Kakowal on June 14, Bhattian on June 15, Dhandari on June 17, Jamalpur on June 18, Daba on June 19 and village Sherpur on June 20.
Dr. Parvinderpal Singh Sidhu said that MMU facility was started by the Health Department to provide health facilities in those areas which are lacking health facilities. People of district Ludhiana are getting most of the benefits of this facility. Apart from the health service this unit also provides awareness regarding welfare schemes related to the health department.
The MMU comprises of a doctor, a medical officer, a laboratory attendant, an X-Ray technician, counselor, and support staff. Dr. Parvinderpal Singh Sidhu informed that the MMU has adequate number of medicines and other necessary instruments. He said that whenever the MMU visits a particular village, an announcement regarding their visit is made in advance so that maximum number of people can avail benefit.
