Tour plan of medical mobile unit (MMU) released
Under this tour plan, the MMU would provide healthcare facilities to people residing in Payal, Sahnewal and Koom Kalan blocks for June, July and August months
Ludhiana: For providing best healthcare facilities to people residing in far off places, the Health Department has issued a tour plan for "Medical Mobile Unit" for district Ludhiana. Under this tour plan, the MMU would provide healthcare facilities to people residing in Payal, Sahnewal and Koom Kalan blocks for June, July and August months.
While providing details of the tour programme, Civil Surgeon Ludhiana Dr. Rajesh Kumar Bagga informed that the MMU would visit Community Health Centre wise villages and provide healthcare facilities to the residents.
The MMU would visit different villages of Payal block till June 10, village Dabba on June 11, at village Bulara on June 12, Central Jail Ludhiana on June 13, Lohara on June 15, Kakowal on June 16, Khwajke on June 17, Khasi Kalan on June 18, Jassian on June 19 and Noorwala on June 20, and different villages of Sahnewal block from June 21-30, 2020.
It would visit different villages of block Payal from July 1-10, 2020, Central Jail Ludhiana on July 11, Bulara on July 13, Dabba on July 14, Dhandari on July 15, Sherpur on July 16, Khwajke on July 17, Central Jail Ludhiana on July 18, Noorwala on July 20, and different villages of Sahnewal block from July 21-30, 2020.
Similarly, the MMU would visit different villages of block Payal from August 1-10, 2020, Dhandari on August 11, Sherpur on August 12, Dabba on August 13, Jamalpur on August 14, Khasi Kalan on August 17, Khwajke on August 18, Bhattian on August 19, village Noorwala on August 20, and different villages of Sahnewal block from August 21-31, 2020.
Dr. Bagga said that MMU facility was started by the Health Department to provide health facilities in those areas which are lacking health facilities. People of district Ludhiana are getting most of the benefits of this facility. Apart from the health service this unit also provides awareness regarding welfare schemes related to the health department.
The MMU comprises of a doctor, a medical officer, a laboratory attendant, an X-Ray technician, counselor, and support staff. He informed that the MMU has adequate number of medicines and other necessary instruments. He said that whenever the MMU visits a particular village, an announcement regarding their visit is made in advance so that maximum number of people can avail benefit.
