Traders decide to give memo to MLAs and MPs of ruling alliance and Opposition in Punjab


Ludhiana, August 13: At a core committee meeting of Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal (PPBM), it has been decided to take into confidence all MLAs and MPs of the ruling alliance and the Congress in Punjab in view of the ongoing agitation against the recently introduced online billing and door to door checking of units by excise and taxation department.

The meeting was held under the leadership of the state president Amrit Lal Jain.

The mandal’s state leaders Sunil Mehra and Mohinder Aggarwal  told that they would start submitting  memorandums to MLAs and MPs from August 15 onwards, seeking their consent on the issue and asking them to join them. They said they would gherao those MLAs and MPs who would not extend support to them.

They reiterated that they were open for talks with Punjab Government for resolving the issue.
