Trading on BSE’s E-Agricultural Markets Ltd (BEAM) off to rousing start

Chandigarh: BSE witnessed trading of 2 tons of Imported Almond in shell worth value of more than Rs 6 lakh on the launch day of electronic spot platform for agricultural commodities – ‘BSE E-Agricultural Markets Ltd. (BEAM)’. This platform commenced beta operations today and facilitates spot agricultural commodities transactions across value chain consisting of producers, intermediaries, ancillary services and consumers.
 
Shri Rajesh Sinha, CEO of BEAM, said “I am happy to make a small beginning with trading of Almonds on BSE E Agricultural Markets (BEAM).  We thank the members of BEAM without whose support this would not have been possible.
