During the upcoming G20 summit in Dharamsala, traffic will run smoothly without any new diversions or one-way arrangements.
Dharamshala, April 18, 2023: During the upcoming G20 summit in Dharamsala, traffic will run smoothly without any new diversions or one-way arrangements. This assurance was given by Shalini Agnihotri, the Police Superintendent of District Kangra in Dharamsala. She stated that around 500 police officials have been deployed for security purposes and to ensure the smooth conduct of the summit.
Agnihotri emphasized that the normal traffic movement in the city will not be disturbed during the summit days. However, some traffic restrictions may be levied at certain points if required. She also mentioned that a surveillance team has been constituted to keep an eye on any anti-social activities.
To ensure the safety of the delegates, the SP has requested the DC to declare the concerned area and the route of the delegates as a no drone flying zone during the summit days.
The Kangra administration is hopeful that the visiting delegates will have a pleasant experience and take back sweet memories of the area.
