Training on enrichment of garments by painting and printing concludes at KVK Ropar
The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ropar organized seven days training on ‘Enrichment of garments by painting & printing’ under the aegis of the Directorate of Extension Education, PAU, Ludhiana and ICAR ATARI Zone -1, in which 20 women/adolescent girls participated.

Ludhiana, July 25, 2023: The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ropar organized seven days training on ‘Enrichment of garments by painting & printing’ under the aegis of the Directorate of Extension Education, PAU, Ludhiana and ICAR ATARI Zone -1, in which 20 women/adolescent girls participated.
During the inaugural session, Dr. Satbir Singh, Deputy Director (Trg.), KVK Ropar extended warm welcome to the participants and discussed the scope of this venture through value addition. He said rural women can enhance their skills in painting and printing through this training. He also urged them to adopt this enterprise as a step towards their skill enhancement.
Manpreet Kaur, Demonstrator (Home Science) shared that keeping in view of the latest trends, participants were imparted hand-on experience in different types of printing methods and hand painting. She also shared information about various products of printing and painting for making decorative fabrics at household level.
The programme ended with an exhibition of printed garment/clothes prepared by the trainees during seven days vocational training. Painted and printed pillow covers, cushion covers, dupatta-suits, table clothes, mats, etc. were prepared during this training.
