Dr. Ranjeet Singh, Pr. Scientist has imparted hands on training
Ludhiana: In recent years price of makhana has increased due to increase in demand from domestic as well as foreign markets. Makhana presently is processed by traditional method which is laborious, time, consuming and causes injuries to the processor’s hands as it involves handling of hot roasted nuts manually. Keeping in view the need for mechanization of makhana processing ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana has developed makhana processing plant and a budding entrepreneur Mr. Gurdeep Singh from Morinda approached CIPHET for training on makhana processing. Dr. Ranjeet Singh, Pr. Scientist has imparted hands on training and awarded training certificate on successful completion of training on 18.3.2021. Also assured him that all possible help will be extended for establishment of makhana processing business.
