Training programme on vegetable cultivation begins at PAU


Ludhiana, August 8: A three-month training programme on 'Vegetable Cultivation' began at Punjab Agricultural University today.

The Director of Extension Education, Dr. M.S. Gill, while inaugurating the training programme said that agriculture today had become scientific and a scientific approach was must to earn better income from farming. 

Coordinator of the programme, Dr. T.S. Riar said 42 young farmers from various districts of Punjab were attending the training. The participants would be apprised with scientific ways of cultivation and plant protection techniques, he said, adding they would also be imparted knowledge on various farm subsidiary occupations like: bee keeping and poultry farming, mushroom cultivation.
