Ferozepur, January 17, 2013: The Vigilance Bureau (VB) have arrested Sheetal Singh of District Transport Office (DTO) for allegedly embezzling government funds.
DSP (VB) Jagat Singh said, the official has been arrested for allegedly fiddling with the amount pertaining to the taxes deposited by the owners of commercial vehicles in 2009, during his tenure from 2007 to 2012.
A case under sections 409,420 13(11(d)(2) of IPC was registered on January 11 and during further investigation more clues are to come on surface as his role indicated a large scam.
