Tree Plantation Drive at PU South Campus
On the occasion of Independence day, Panjab University Alumni Association along with all Departments/centers of south campus of Panjab university organized a massive tree plantation drive.
Chandigarh, August 16, 2022: On the occasion of Independence day, Panjab University Alumni Association along with all Departments/centers of south campus of Panjab university organized a massive tree plantation drive. Prof. Renu Wig, Dean University Instruction, Panjab University and Prof. Sudhir Kumar, Director, Research and Development, Panjab University were the chief guests. Heads and Faculty members from UIAMS, Dept. of Biochemistry, U.I.E.T, Dept. of Microbial Biotechnology, Center for Public Health, Dept. of Biophysics, Dept. of Microbiology, Dept. of Biotechnology, Dr. H.S.J. Institute of Dental Science & Hospital & other Departments of South Campus, PU participated in the event. Prof. Anupama Sharma, Dean Alumni relations informed that PUAA has taken an initiative to plant 250 Ashoka trees in south campus today. This is beginning of our honorable Vice Chancellor’s dream to plant 7500 plants in the south campus to commemorate 75th anniversary of independent India
