Tree plantation drive organised in Boys’ Hostel no.3
A tree plantation drive was organised on Saturday in the Boys’ Hostel no. 3. Dr. Rajiv, Warden, Boys Hostel No. 1, Dr. Tilak Raj, Warden, Boys Hostel No. 2 graced the occasion as Guest of the event.
Chandigarh, July 29, 2022: A tree plantation drive was organised on Saturday in the Boys’ Hostel no. 3. Dr. Rajiv, Warden, Boys Hostel No. 1, Dr. Tilak Raj, Warden, Boys Hostel No. 2 graced the occasion as Guest of the event. Saplings of trees like Chandni, Kaner, Bel & Guava were planted in the hostel premises. Both Warden of BH-1 and BH-2 appreciated the efforts of the University for planting trees on such a mass scale as plantation drive is being currently conducted by different hostels, departments and NSS units of Panjab University. Tree plantation during the monsoon season will surely lead to increase in green cover of the area to provide clean and safe air for inhalation. Such drives are urgently needed during the current challenging times.
Dr. Anand Narain Singh Warden, Boys Hostel No. 3 sensitized the hostel residents and staff to plant more and more trees to be safe from adverse effects of climate change.
Dr. Rajiv and Dr. Tilak Raj thanked the Hostel officials for inviting them as Guest for such a noble cause of planting saplings of environment friendly trees.
Dr. A.N. Singh Warden, Boy’s Hostel No. 3 also thanked the Guests, residents and staff of the hostel to participate in this noble cause of tree plantation drive. The drive ended with a serving refreshment and vote of thanks to all.
