Tribute to 40 Martyrs of Pulwama Attack
On 14 February 2019, 40 CRPF personnel were martyred in an attack carried out by an IED blast. This horrific incident in Pulwama district was condemned all over the world.

Jalandhar, February 14, 2025: On 14 February 2019, 40 CRPF personnel were martyred in an attack carried out by an IED blast. This horrific incident in Pulwama district was condemned all over the world.
Remembering supreme sacrifice of the Indian Army, Lovely Professional University NCC cadets, NSS volunteers and students observed two minutes silence and paid tribute to the martyrs.
Rajya Sabha member and Chancellor Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Pro Chancellor Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Vice Chancellor Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Col. Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer 2 Punjab NCC Battalion and teachers were present on this occasion.
NCC cadets expressed their views and recalled the event. In the memory of martyrs, a candlelight march was taken out by the cadets. Colonel Vinod Joshi told the press that the country's soldiers will give a befitting reply to such attacks on the country's borders and inside the country. The Balakot surgical strike has given a clear message to the neighbouring countries. The Indian Army had avenged the Pulwama attack by destroying the terrorist camp in Balakot.
Dr. Ashok Mittal has given the opportunity to the family members of the martyrs to get jobs in the university as per their qualifications and to provide free education to their children. The program ended with the slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
