Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies conducted 4 activities in collaboration with Department of Art, History and Visual Arts and Ancient History Culture & Archaeology, Panjab University to pay tribute to Vallabhbhai Patel on his Birthday during the Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week-2024 on the theme of “Culture of Integrity for Nations Prosperity and Sensitization and Interactive Session on “Policies and Procedures of organisations and Preventive Measures against Corruption on 29th October.

Chandigarh, October 30, 2024: Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies conducted 4 activities in collaboration with Department of Art, History and Visual Arts and Ancient History Culture & Archaeology, Panjab University to pay tribute to Vallabhbhai Patel on his Birthday during the Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week-2024 on the theme of “Culture of Integrity for Nations Prosperity and Sensitization and Interactive Session on “Policies and Procedures of organisations and Preventive Measures against Corruption on 29th October.
Three Prizes from each activity (Best paper presentation during the paper Presentation session); Poster Making /Cartoon Making; and Slogan Writing) was presented to the students also.
The Key Speaker Renuka B Salwan, former Director Public Relations with Bureau of Indian Standards and Panjab University in her address said that Vigilance Awareness Week aims to raise the concern of the growing menace of corruption and its consequences. She added that Vigilance is not about punishment but about fostering awareness and adhering to standard operating procedures for efficient and ethical operations. She dwelled on the importance of 4 Ps as the pillars of Good Governance-People, Processes, Performance and Purpose for creating an organizational culture that values integrity, accountability and laying a strong foundation for organization's growth. She urged to strengthen belief in the power of Integrity in everyday life and shared some personal experiences of adhering to ethics and integrity.
