Trident Group in collaboration with Punjab Government commences training of 1,500 youth under Grameen Kaushalya Yojana
Project’s first batch inaugurated by Varjeet Walia, SDM Barnala
Barnala: With continuous efforts to act as a catalyst in the state & central government led welfare & development programs, Trident Group commenced training program for 1,500 candidates under the flag of Grameen Kaushalya Yojana. The project’s first batch was inaugurated at Trident’s Takshashila campus in Dhaula by Mr. Varjeet Walia, SDM Barnala.
In alignment with the constant quest to add value to the lives of the people, Trident Group Chairman, Padmashri Rajinder Gupta, expressed his gratitude to be able to play a part in development and welfare programs such as Grameen Kaushalya Yojana which aims to uplift the youth of the state, making them self reliant and support their family.
Sara Sharma, Head Learning & Development & Govt. Initiatives, Trident informed that in the first set of batches comprised of 210 trainees training begun for sewing machine operator and inline garment checker. The next batch will be trained for Ring Frame Tenter. Trident Group’s comprehensive residential program covers housing, clothing and food facilities for all the students throughout the training schedule. To ensure implementation of the same, hostel blocks have been allocated for the students with dedicated caretakers. The trades to be covered under the training program are apparel and textiles. The five districts being targeted for the scheme are Barnala, Bathinda, Sangrur, Fazilka and Mansa, with full focus on rural candidates.
