Trip to IUAC, New Delhi

Jalandhar, April 21, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, The Heritage and Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar's PG Department Of Physics organised an educational trip to Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi under DBT star college scheme.

A group of about 22 students of B.sc (Non Medical, Computer Science) and M.sc physics were accompanied with four teachers . Initially students attended the seminar which was related to various accelerators such as 15 UD Pelletron Accelerator, 50k V tabletop accelerator and ExpEYES (Experiments For Young Engineers And Scientists).

Then students visited various labs where the demonstration of a working accelerator was given. The basic objective of IUAC is to provide front ranking accelerator based research facilities to create possibilities for internationally competitive research within the university system. The centre has been playing very special role in the field of research. It was a trip to the place where science, fun and learning are inseparable it was an eye opener trick for students about research and innovative ideas.

Principal, Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the Department of Physics for organizing the trip for the students.
