&TV artists convey their best wishes on Maharashtra Day

May 1 is celebrated as Maharashtra Day, also known as Maharashtra Diwas or Maharashtra Din, every year to commemorate the creation of the state. &TV’s artists Atharva (young Bhimrao) and Jagannath Nivangune (Ramji Sakpal) from Ek Mahanayak – Dr B.R. Ambedkar, Mouli Ganguly (Mahasati Anusuya) from Baal Shiv, Himani Shivpuri (Katori Amma) from Happu Ki Ultan Patlan), and Rohitashv Gour (Manmohan Tiwari) from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, convey their best wishes as they come together to celebrate this special day.

Atharva, essaying the young Bhimrao’s role in &TV’s Ek Mahanayak – Dr B.R. Ambedkar says, “I am from Pune, the second-largest city in Maharashtra and undoubtedly one of the best cities with some of the best educational institutes, rich cultural heritage, food and much more. Each year, we observe this day to commemorate the formation of Maharashtra, which is the third-largest state in India. On the occasion of our state’s foundation day, let us remember and take pride in our glorious history and culture and its immense growth and development over the years. Maharashtra Dinachya Hardik Shubhechha.” Jagannath Nivangune, essaying Ramji Sakpal’s role in &TV’s Ek Mahanayak – Dr B.R. Ambedkar, adds, “It is a moment of pride and honour for all of us as we celebrate Maharashtra Diwas. I hail from Pune, popularly called the 'Queen of the Deccan', and home to several leading industrialists and personalities. Over the years, the city has seen tremendous growth, making it one of the best smart cities in the country. I switch a lot between Mumbai and Pune due to work commitments. Mumbai has been my second home. I owe a lot to this city, which has given me fame, recognition, and affection. The city has been a hub for art, theatre, and the entertainment industry apart from being India's commercial capital. I am extremely proud of our state’s cultural heritage, magnificent history, and advancement. May this day lead us to the right path of peace and social harmony. Happy Maharashtra Day to everyone. Jai-Jai Maharashtra Majha, Garja Maharashtra Majha!” 

Mouli Ganguly (Mahasati Anusuya) of Baal Shiv shares, “Maharashtra has a fantastic assortment of wildlife, history, religion, and natural beauty and is called the "land of warriors. When I came down to Mumbai, I lived with a Maharashtrian family for four years as paying guests and they are still like a family to me.I adore Maharashtrian culture and have always enjoyed participating in various cultural events such as "lezim" and "dhol Pathak" all these years. I also love eating Maharashtrian cuisine like pooran poli, Srikhand Puri during the festival. Whenever I visit some of the famous forts and monuments in Maharashtra, I try to find some historical significance behind them. My heart fills with pride and emotion when I learn about the sacrifices and struggles made by the people for the formation of the state”. Himani Shivpuri (Katori Amma) of Happu Ki Ultan Paltan shares, “This day symbolizes the start of Maharashtra's long and illustrious history. It is a state that has maintained its pre-eminence as the home of the country's financial services industry, which drives the country's economy. Similarly, Maharashtra's culture is diversified and rich in vibrant cultures. I enjoy Puran Poli, kandepohe, thalipith, missal, and other excellent Maharashtrian dishes when it comes to cuisine. I can still recall how, in the early days of my profession, I used to be able to get through the entire day by eating only these for breakfast. On Maharashtra Diwas, a big shout-out and greetings to the people of Maharashtra”. Rohitashv Gour (Manmohan Tiwari) of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai shares, “Maharashtra Day is celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm across the state. Maharashtra's spirit is cosmopolitan, forward-thinking, tolerant, and dynamic, and it has given me so much. On this day, my family and I attend several cultural events, including traditional Lavani music performances, folk songs, and the recitation of poems by well-known Marathi saints. Maharashtra is the centre of the entertainment business for any artist, and it has provided me with many opportunities throughout my acting career. It is a state that wholeheartedly accepts people from across India. Mumbai city is especially dear to my heart. My "Karma Bhoomi" gave me a new identity and was responsible for my well-being and prosperity. As a proud citizen of India and Maharashtra, I wish everyone a Happy Maharashtra Day”.
