Two day international webinar on Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji concluded

Patiala: A two days International webinar dedicated to 400th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji concluded today with the mesaage to researchers and students to find out the routes of travels of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji.

The webinar organised under the patronage of Ms. Ravneet Kaur, IAS, Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala, by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur National Integration Chair was based on the theme: Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur- Socio-Spiritual Concerns. On the second day of the webinar, the keynote address was delivered by Dr Dalvir Singh Pannu, California, (U.S.A.).  Prof. Gurdip Singh Batra, Dean, Research, Punjabi University, Patiala welcomed the speaker and audience attending the webinar.      Dr. Daljit Singh, Head, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur National Integration Chair provided valuable information about the life and martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

Dr. Pannu gave impressive information to the researchers after analyzing different sources about Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji which are lying in libraries and archives of India and Pakistan. He advised the researchers to depend on original sources instead of translated ones to get more authentic information as many times, the translated versions omit other relevant facts.

He laid stress that traditions are more important in comparison to the sources.

Prof. Amarjit Singh, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar told the researchers to remain cautious while analyzing Persian sources which have dominance of a particular religion. At the end of the webinar, Dr. Daljit Singh suggested the researchers and students to find out the routes of travels of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur. He thanked all to be the part of this webinar.
