Ludhiana, August 14, 2024: Two-day patriotic drive “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiated in Ludhiana Schools under patronage of MP (Rajya Sabha) from Ludhiana Sanjeev Arora, concluded successfully here on Wednesday.

Two government schools - Government primary Smart School, Singhpura and Government Senior Secondary School, Ayali Khurd in the rural areas were covered under the drive today. The National Flags were distributed by Former Additional Advocate General Punjab Harpreet Sandhu on behalf of MP Sanjeev Arora among the school children to encourage them to install the National flags in their respective homes making “Har Ghar Tiranga” drive dedicated to the 78th Independence Day of the country.

The school children exhibited great enthusiasm holding the National Flag of India high and raised the patriotic slogans “Har Ghar Tiranga” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” Hundreds of flags were distributed under the drive, which was run to mark the upcoming 78th Independence Day of the Nation and to highlight the significance of the Tricolour flag within the school children and faculty members and local citizens.

A National Flag was also handed over to Punjab’s eminent Economist and Former Chancellor Central University Punjab Padma Bhushan Dr. Sardara Singh Johl by Harpreet Sandhu on behalf of MP Arora. Dr Johl will unveil the National Flag atop his residence on Independence Day (August 15). In his message, Dr Johl appreciated the drive initiated by MP Arora for inculcating the spirit of patriotism among the schoolchildren and local citizens. He appealed to people to hoist Tricolour atop their respective homes.

The urban government schools were covered under the drive on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, MP Arora thanked everyone specially Harpreet Sandhu, the school children and faculty in making the drive successful. He said it is our duty to give due respect to our freedom fighters and National Flag, adding that Independence Day reminds us of the freedom movement during which freedom fighters laid down their lives. He said it is our duty to maintain unity and integrity of the country, adding that our existence is possible only if our Nation is united and strong.
