A two-day Sustainability Sensitizing Workshop “Mainstreaming Sustainability for Climate Smart Habitats” was inaugurated at Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar on Tuesday.
Ludhiana, July 17, 2024: A two-day Sustainability Sensitizing Workshop “Mainstreaming Sustainability for Climate Smart Habitats” was inaugurated at Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar on Tuesday.
Tata Steel through Blue Planet, Kolkata and MRH Associates (Distributors of Tata Steel) organised this workshop with special support from Department of Civil Engineering, NIT Jalandhar.
The event was sponsored by Tata Tiscon which is the First Green Pro certified rebar brand of India.
Tata Steel has been sensitive to Environment and sustainability issues - duly reflected in their new manufacturing facility coming up in Ludhiana, with EAF steel making process which is capable of producing steel rebars with negligible carbon footprints.
The workshop was inaugurated with the lamp lighting ceremony in the presence of Director Dr Vinod Kumar Kanaujiya, Dr S P Singh, Prof Anish Sachdeva, Pradeep Malhotra and Sangita Kapoor.
Speakers included Dr Prabhjot Channi from IIT Roorkee, Dr Navdeep Singh, Dr Kanish Kapoor from the Department of Civil Engineering and Dr Mehra from the Department of Physics NIT Jalandhar - besides Sangita Kapoor.
Architects from Amritsar and Jalandhar appreciated the session which is aimed at sensitising people to save environment by reducing carbon footprints and adopting sustainable practices.
