Two member of robber’s gang arrested, arms and ammunition recovered
Ferozepur police have arrested two members of a robber’s gang and recovered two country made pistols (.315 bore) along with five rounds, two cars one mobile phone along with cash of Rs 8000/- from the accused.
Ferozepur, July 27, 2022: Ferozepur police have arrested two members of a robber’s gang and recovered two country made pistols (.315 bore) along with five rounds, two cars one mobile phone along with cash of Rs 8000/- from the accused.
As per information, the accused identified Jagdeep Singh resident of Village Sidhwa Bet in Ludhiana district and Manjit Singh, a resident of Village Bhupewala were arrested from Village Bhupewala by the police. While giving details SSP Surinder Lamba said that the accused were involved in two robbery incidents at Village Ariayan Wala in Makhu and at Village Sur Singh Wala in Kulgarhi area on July 22. “Two separate FIRs were registered at Kulgarhi and Makhu police station. Later following the inputs, a special naka was laid near village Bhupewala during which the accused Jagdip Singh was arrested. As per the information provided by Jagdip, the police nabbed the other accused Manjit Singh. Jagdeep also revealed that there are two more members of their gang identified as raj Kumar alias Raju, a resident of village Khursaidpura in Ludhiana district and Akashdeep Singh a resident of Sidhwan Bet in Ludhiaan district. The police has launched a manhunt to nab these accused also”, said SSP.
In other case, the police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 52 kg poppy husk. The accused were identified as Gurdev Singh a resident of Village Lohgarh, Gagandeep Singh a resident of Village Saner and Ravinder Singh a resident of Village Pohwind in Ferozepur district. As per information, the accused Gagandeep Singh and Ravinder Singh had brough poppy husk in the truck (PB 04 AA 2634) which belonged to Gurdev Singh. “Following the inputs a raid was conducted and the truck was seized. During the checking of the truck 52 kg poppy husk was recovered”, said SSP
The accused were booked under NDPS Act at Zira police station (FIR No. 73 Dated 26.07.2022).
