Two minutes silence observed to pay homage to martyrs of freedom struggle

Ludhiana: Tributes were paid to the great freedom fighters and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country at the District Administrative Complex under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal. All the civil and police officials and employees paid homage to the freedom fighters and martyrs. Two-minute silence was observed at 11 a.m.

The Deputy Commissioner said that we must feel proud of our martyrs. Every citizen is enjoying the independence due to their struggle and sacrifice. He paid his homage to all the martyrs on behalf of the district administration and made an appeal to all the officials, employees and citizens to put their efforts to make India a country of the dream of the martyrs. Officials and employees of various departments were also present on the occasion.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included ADC (Development) Mrs Amrit Singh, ADC (General) Mr Iqbal Singh Sandhu, SDM Mr Amarjit Singh Bains, District Public Relations Officer Mr Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal, besides others.
