Two PAU Students get job placements in Escorts Limited
The agricultural engineers from PAU have been recruited by the leading organizations every year
Ludhiana: Overcoming the prevailing challenges of COVID-19, two students of B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) Jasanmol Singh and Chhavi Arora from College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (COAET), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) have got job placements in Escorts Limited. The agricultural engineers from PAU have been recruited by the leading organizations every year through the on-campus interviews conducted by Training and Placement Committee of the College. Last year also, despite COVID-19 situation, 17 students of the College got job placements in Mahindra and Mahindra, Escorts, John Deere, Corteva Agriscience and International Tractors. Five students have got admission in the University of Manitoba, McGill University and University of Guelph in Canada and two students of agricultural engineering got admitted in Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad and Trichy.
Dr Ashok Kumar, Dean, COAET, mentioned that due to quality education and prosperous career opportunities in the discipline of agricultural engineering at PAU, the passout candidates have been performing at various levels in the leading companies all around the globe making their alma mater feel proud of its alumni. He informed that presently the students of the College are getting hands on practical training under the Student READY component to prepare them from industry perspective.
Dr Satish Kumar Gupta and Dr Vishal Bector, Training and Placement Officers of COAET, highlighted the scope of agricultural engineering in present scenario and futuristic technology based advanced agriculture system in India.
